How to Schedule an Appointment
All new patients start with a brief phone call or email exchange with Dr. Kennedy. This is not a formal appointment. It is a short conversation to understand your needs, explain how the practice works, and determine if Kennedy Psychiatric is the right fit.
Dr. Nigel Kennedy, MBBS, PhD is a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in both New York and California. He provides integrated psychiatric treatment and psychotherapy from his Midtown Manhattan practice. Telehealth is available for follow-up appointments for residents of both states.
During the call, Dr. Kennedy will ask about your symptoms and what prompted you to reach out. He will explain the fee-for-service model and answer any questions about the process. If a different provider or level of care would be more appropriate, he will provide recommendations.
For the majority of patients, a first appointment can be scheduled within one to two business days of the initial call. Dr. Kennedy prefers the first session to be in person, but follow-up appointments can be conducted via telehealth for patients who prefer a hybrid approach.
"When I speak to people for the first time, it is a way of introducing myself and gaining a quick understanding of the person so I can decide whether or not this is the right place for them to get the help they need."
There are three ways to get started:
- Call (929) 505-0504
- Email appointments@kennedypsychiatric.com
- Fill out the priority onboarding form above
